In 2000 I completed my university degree, a Bachelor of Communication with majors in journalism and public relations and did pretty well at it too, gaining the Bachelor’s Medal (sounds like something they should give to nice blokes).
With such great results, I spent the next year writing a brilliant honours thesis which looked at the possibility of increased democratic participation within the formation of a public sphere, titled Digital extravagance: the struggle for digital democracy. Obviously a work way ahead of it’s time, its brilliance gained me a First Class Honours and the much prized University Medal.
Steering away from a career in academia, I have been writing in various formats ever since including a period working as a public servant writing the best memos for the department. I have also specialised in internal communications and in a public relations – media role.
I am half way through my first novel (writing, not reading). While not titled a labour of love, it certainly could be called that!
I am available for any writing needs (within reason). Simply contact me for more information.
